The Great Wave
Third grade students studied the famous print The Great Wave off Kanagawa created in1831 by Hokusai. He tried to make this print 4 times in his life before he made this final version at the age of 72.
Each student blended bright chalk colors to create a wave. Then, they drew a beautiful metallic koi fish from a book we read about the wave. Finally, they glued it to their Great Wave.
