::: Snowy Days ::: 

    Kindergarten through third grade students created winter themed drawings that have decorated the front gallery this month!  Great Job!  Kindergarten students studied author and illustrator Ezra Keats through viewing his collage techniques from his book "A Snowy Day".  Then, using drawing techniques to create a three dimensional cup, Kindergarten and 3rd grade drew cups of hot cocoa adding original designs to each cup! 

    First and second grade created a mixed media "Winter Foxes" artwork.  The background was painted by focusing on learning how to blend colors and using unconventional materials like cardboard to design the trees.  Finally, each student drew foxes on orange paper to cut and glue their winter background.
