::: 5th grade mural painting :::

Next week, we will cut up the mural to make 12 by 18 inch backgrounds for our new project of expressive art.  This project was created by special request for a 5th grade student who wanted to study artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.  We will be looking at his artwork and Frida Kahlo's work to see how artist express themselves and their emotions visually.  Each student will choose the subject of their artwork, draw it and add it to the class mural background to complete this mixed media work.
