Fifth grade students at Cutler Elementary studied the history of Notre Dame and key aspects of French Gothic architecture.  A few students had visited the Paris landmark and shared their experiences.  We created the painted backgrounds with splatter paint stars and a wet on wet watercolor technique.  Using a line drawing of the cathedral as a starting point for design, students added in their own styles and ornate details.  They all did an excellent job!
